JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous alcohol and tobacco officer. The assignment includes independent work primarily focused on permits, supervision, and advice for serving permits, tobacco, low-alcohol beer, and over-the-counter medications. The review of alcohol cases involves assessing the suitability and finances of individuals and companies, handling referrals, and engaging in dialogue with applicants, etc. The work will mainly be performed during the day, but since supervision occurs in the evenings and on weekends, work outside normal office hours will also be relevant. In addition to reviews and supervision, the assignment involves collaboration with other authorities, responding to surveys, etc., as well as strategic responsibility for the tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree, such as an environmental and health protection inspector or similar education related to case management, auditing, economics, law, or other relevant education/experience that we consider equivalent. Good written and verbal communication skills in Swedish are required, and knowledge of other languages may be an asset. In this position, you will largely work with case management and investigations conducted in various data systems, so we want you to have good computer skills. You should be able to handle the Office suite and easily learn and manage different IT systems. To succeed in the role of officer, it is important that you have a good ability to communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders. You should have a strong sense of service and be able to meet both entrepreneurs and the public with kindness and professionalism. You need to be meticulous and structured, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality. Experience in supervisory work is an advantage. Surahammar Municipality is part of the Finnish administrative area. If you are proficient in Finnish, both spoken and written, it can be an asset. A B driver's license is required.
