HR Specialist in Labor Law
This position belongs to the administrative department responsible for the federation's work in administration, HR, finance, communication, payroll, and projects.
The administrative department has nine employees and an HR team with an HR specialist working on workplace environment issues, equality, leadership, rehabilitation, health, and wellness, along with an HR coordinator handling personnel administration, payroll, and pension matters.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will become the federation's expert in labor law matters. You will work broadly and closely with HR issues and provide support to the federation's managers and employees. The position offers great freedom and the opportunity to influence, with short decision-making paths and personal responsibility to drive the work forward.
Main Responsibilities
- Salary formation, which involves managing salary reviews and ensuring our salary processes follow guidelines and policies.
- Labor law issues, including interpreting agreements and legislation as well as developing local agreements. Stay updated on legal changes and directives. In the area of labor law, supporting managers in necessary conversations is included.
- MBL negotiations with our union partners, where you assist managers.
- Competence supply by developing processes and practically working with the entire recruitment process and employer branding.
- Administrative work such as producing statistics, minute-taking, and similar tasks.
- Training support, which involves planning and conducting training for managers and employees in the above HR areas.
The role also includes collaborating with other HR functions on various HR issues as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic degree in human resources or behavioral sciences, or another HR education deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Experience in a similar broad HR role with a particular focus on labor law.
- Good experience with MBL negotiations.
- Experience in salary review work.
- Strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience working with personnel administrative systems.
- A valid driver's license, as travel between our stations is required.
It is an advantage if you have experience in HR work within the public sector, particularly in municipalities or regions.

The Mälardalen Rescue Service is a municipal federation for rescue services and preventive fire safety between the municipalities of Arboga, Hallstahammar, Kungsör, Köping, Surahammar, and Västerås.
