About the Position

As an Accountant in Västanfors Västervåla Parish, you will have significant responsibility for the finances of the group's nine companies. For the right person, there is an opportunity to expand the position into a managerial role in the near future. As an Accountant in Västanfors Västervåla Parish, you will be part of a well-knit team where there is a great openness and a professional working environment. In your role, you will have a broad area of work with varying tasks within finance and administration. The organization is decentralized, which means short decision-making paths and proximity to colleagues.

The role involves very close collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer. In your immediate vicinity, there is a team of competent and engaged employees.

In the position as an Accountant, your main tasks will initially include:

• Reconciliations, accruals, reporting
• Ongoing bookkeeping
• Fixed asset register
• Budgeting
• Year-end closing and annual reports
• Other common tasks in a finance department

About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys development and thrives in an organization where change and growth are seen as natural. With a structured and analytical approach to work, you value order and tidiness while being flexible and unpretentious.

To succeed in this role, you preferably have a post-secondary education in finance/accounting, as well as several years of experience in similar tasks. Alternatively, you have substantial work experience in similar tasks.

The position has a wide range of tasks, which requires you to be flexible, possess good collaborative skills, and help where needed. You have a meticulous approach and leave nothing to chance. • University education in finance or equivalent experience that we assess as comparable
• Very good knowledge of budgeting, year-end closing, and group accounting
• Knowledge of MS Office programs
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written

About the Employment

The position as an Accountant is a consulting assignment with placement as soon as possible, by agreement. The assignment is long-term, and for the right person, the plan is for the position to transition into direct employment with Västanfors Västervåla Parish. Your employment is covered by collective agreements, insurance, occupational pension, and occupational health care. You will also receive wellness benefits, and various social activities are regularly organized. We expect you to be a member of the Church of Sweden.
