Social Administration Nordost is looking for a Senior Social Worker

Social Administration Nordost works to provide residents in northeastern Gothenburg with equal and effective welfare, enabling them to live safe and independent lives. The administration supports individuals and families according to the Social Services Act. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

One of our senior social workers is going on parental leave, and we are now looking for a successor. The unit is located at the office by Kortedala Square. As a senior social worker, you are an important cog in the unit's and department's work to develop the processing procedures, especially as we are in the midst of a digitization and partial automation of the processing of financial support. At the same time, we are working to increase the time we devote to social change work.

In your role as a senior social worker, you will serve as an accessible and close support, as well as supervise and provide methodological guidance in daily work. Furthermore, you recognize the potential of the caseworkers and adopt a coaching approach. You participate in the introduction of new employees and play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a good work environment within the unit. You are responsible for methodological development and keep yourself updated on current research, case law, and legislation in the field.

Your mission as a senior social worker includes assisting the unit manager with various operational issues, such as scheduling, planning, and monitoring the employees' and unit's various goals. As a senior social worker, you may also be part of various working groups, both within Social Administration Nordost and the city at large. Some evening work may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work who is currently working or has worked in financial support. To be able to provide methodological support to social workers, it is essential that you are knowledgeable about legislation, case law, and current processes in financial support. It is an advantage if you have previously worked in a supervisory role.

As a person, you are responsible and take your tasks seriously, ensuring that you complete what you have started within the set time and in the right way. You have a good demeanor and show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role.

You have a good ability to convey information and ideas verbally and in writing, adapting your communication to the recipient. You are attentive and can listen to others to understand their needs, actively seeking out others' opinions and perspectives. In your role as a supervisor, it is important that you are comfortable in social interactions, both informal and formal, and can stand by the decisions made.
