Senior System Development Engineer
An Overview of Your Day
In your role as a Senior System Development Engineer in mechanics, you will, together with the Technical Area Manager, be responsible for the development of the acoustic system.
You will also contribute to maintaining the system's standards and our processes, work on cost reduction and detailed technical solutions. The role involves many interfaces, both internal and external, and you will have a lot of interaction with other disciplines, such as other groups within Development & Standard, R&D, procurement, order design, service, and suppliers, as well as globally within Siemens Energy and externally with universities.
You will be part of our vision to drive development with competence, commitment, and innovation while exceeding our customers' expectations.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Contribute Effective Solutions: Together with a team of mechanical system designers, you will actively contribute effective solutions tailored to market and customer needs.
- Leadership in the Technical Area: Take a leading role in the technical area and drive the development of the acoustic system.
- Mentorship: Be a mentor and develop younger engineers while promoting good collaboration and a successful work climate.
- Product Development: Prepare new solutions and update existing products together with other departments and our suppliers.
- Health & Safety: Ensure that all tasks are performed in accordance with health & safety and departmental processes.
What You Bring
- Passion for Technology: You have a passion for technology and find challenges motivating. You are analytical and enjoy tackling technical problems.
- Problem Solving: You are a driven problem solver with a curiosity to learn and develop.
- Global Network: You appreciate working in a global environment with a large network.
- Experience and Education: You have 5-7 years of relevant experience from a similar role and a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanics or similar.
- Communication Skills: You are a skilled communicator in both English and Swedish.
About the Team
Within the mechanical systems department, you will have 28 colleagues, 21 in Sweden and 7 in India, of which 9 work within the acoustics team.
Within the Gas Services division, we offer energy solutions with zero or low emissions based on our gas turbines gathered under one roof, together with steam turbines and generators. Through service, modernization, and digitalization of the delivered fleet, we create opportunities for a reduced climate footprint.
