At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. In total, we are about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

Do you want to take the next step in your career as a software architect and create solutions that make a difference? Do you want to be part of modernizing, consolidating, and driving a crucial shift in the Master Data area? You will enter an exciting phase of building, where you will become one of the first members of an entirely new team.

The mission is to develop and modernize the system landscape within Master Data concerning individuals. This area is prioritized and part of the work to ensure the quality of the agency's information, increase its security, and create conditions for greater information exchange with external stakeholders. It is also foundational for the agency's areas of focus, where part of the work is to counteract the abuse of regulations and case processes.

As a software architect with us, you will have a central and leading role. You will ensure long-term maintainable solutions and support others in the team. You will have close contact with software architects in other teams to secure the best overall solution for the Migration Agency and our clients. As a software architect and system developer for the agency's master data regarding individuals, you will have a challenging role in an agency where IT is a high priority. The Migration Agency is undergoing a transformation towards the future, and you will be a key player in enabling that critical shift.

Main tasks and desirable personal qualities:

In the role of software architect with us, you will combine your technical depth with strategic thinking. You will become an important part of the new team where you work with programming while leading the team's architectural discussions and design decisions. You will be involved in requirements discussions and have close collaboration with the domain's solution architect to ensure the best long-term system solutions.

You will, together with your new colleagues:

  • Design, build, and maintain advanced systems to manage data concerning individuals involved in or subject to cases at the Migration Agency
  • Develop processes for seamless integration of personal data from various sources to ensure consistency and reliability
  • Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Create technical prerequisites for continuous delivery
  • Test your and others' solutions as a natural part of the system development process
  • Contact and collaborate with the team's target groups, management, and operations and support organizations
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data management and continuously look for opportunities for system improvements and innovations

You who are applying have:

  • Relevant education in IT or equivalent competence combined with several years of work experience
  • 10 years of work experience in architectural work
  • 5 years of work experience in the development of microservices in a microservices architecture.
  • 5 years of work experience with container platforms (Kubernetes/Docker).
  • 5 years of work experience in Event Streaming (Kafka)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
  • Experience in system development within a master data area.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Experience working with test-driven development and test automation.
  • Experience in web development.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

Employment type: Permanent
Working hours: Office hours (flexible hours)

Location: Norrköping, possibly with some flexibility among the Migration Agency's locations
Start date: By agreement
As the position will be placed in a security class, Swedish citizenship is also required. A security review with a background check will be conducted before employment.
