• As a programmer, you are expected to have a good grasp of languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You should also be familiar with various frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation, and libraries like jQuery.
• It is important to understand the fundamental principles of web design, including user experience (UX) and user interface (UI). This involves creating attractive and user-friendly layouts.
• The ability to create websites that function well on different devices and screen sizes is also crucial, and knowledge of CSS media queries is an advantage. You should also be familiar with popular e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, and Magento, and have the ability to customize and develop online stores on these platforms.
• Understanding how to manage databases and content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, and others is also important for storing and administering the website's content.
• Having knowledge of web security measures, including protection against attacks such as XSS, SQL injections, and using HTTPS to secure online transactions is essential.
• Understanding the basics of SEO and how to optimize the website and online store to increase visibility on search engines and attract organic traffic is also important.
• Finally, the ability to integrate various payment gateways such as PayPal, Stripe, Bankful, Swish, and manage inventory systems is also a necessity. Strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to stay updated with new technologies and methods are crucial for success in this rapidly changing field.
