Job Advertisement: Consultant in CE Marking and Risk Analysis

At Combitech, we specialize in product safety and risk management, and we are now looking for someone with experience in CE marking and risk analysis of technical systems, as well as knowledge in areas such as mechanics/electronics/hydraulics.

Would you also like to contribute to ensuring that personnel within the Swedish Armed Forces and its partners have safe and user-friendly systems in their work? Then Combitech is the right choice for you.

We offer you the opportunity to become an important part of our ambition to further develop our expertise in CE marking, while working with product safety/risk analysis for various types of military technical systems.

Your Role as a Consultant

For thirty years, we have worked across various sectors such as defense, government agencies, and industry, dealing with everything from test equipment, underwater vehicles, surface vessels, and combat aircraft, to command, sensor, and weapon systems as well as wheeled/tracked vehicles. Our agreements with numerous large companies and authorities allow us to utilize our extensive accumulated knowledge and experience to help develop safe, reliable, and user-friendly systems for, among others, our Swedish defense, which is now rapidly developing and expanding.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring that product safety is considered in the development of military technical systems. You will work with cutting-edge technology, and together with customers and colleagues, you will participate in the planning and execution of safety and CE marking processes to ensure that safety requirements are met. This includes identifying, analyzing, and minimizing the risks of a technical system through risk analyses to prevent potential accidents that could harm people, property, and the environment.

The analyses encompass the entire lifecycle of the system, including its hardware, software, and interaction with users and other external systems, and are conducted in close collaboration with designers, developers, and users. You will be involved in the entire development process of a technical system until it is approved for market release and operational use.

Combitech offers various competency development programs, sometimes in collaboration with clients, and provides a large number of courses where our own consultants serve as instructors. Our unit has courses in safety, so you also have the opportunity to be an instructor in one of these if you have a pedagogical interest.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who has worked for at least four to five years and has built up experience in your professional role and industry. We believe that your background is as a university/civil engineer in a technical field, or in a role within the Armed Forces (user of technical systems or technician). Furthermore, we believe that you have experience with relevant EU directives and standards that govern CE marking, such as the Machinery Directive, Low Voltage Directive, EMC Directive, and other sector-specific directives.

You are outgoing, driven, and have a sense of responsibility, which means that you thrive in independent work and close customer collaborations. You have the ability to lead and coordinate the CE marking process, including collaboration with designers, developers, and users to ensure that safety requirements are met. Your interest in technology and desire to work with many points of contact will make you enjoy the role of a consultant. You have a positive outlook, are easy to communicate with, and believe that collaboration with colleagues is important for your satisfaction.

Many of our clients operate in an international environment, so it is essential that you are proficient in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. A driver's license for a car is desirable.

As the position involves work that is subject to defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.

Selection is ongoing. We look forward to your application!

Come & Make a Difference

We believe that you do a better job when you can focus on the right things, which is why we make it easy to combine work with everyday life. We invest in our employees, who are the core, brain, and heart of our operations. Additionally, we stand on a solid foundation of high technology, research, and employment security with the defense and security group Saab as our owner.

For us, it is about sustainability - we want to become the most sustainable company in the industry; and to be a sustainable company in a sustainable future, we need to invest in our employees.
