About Us
At the Community Planning Administration, approximately 70 people work.
We manage, among other things, detailed plans and building permits for the city, as well as permits and assessments in the environmental and food sectors.
The department's mission is to support other units in the office. We have a mix of different competencies among registrars, administrative case handlers, and business developers who make up the machinery of the administration's support functions.
What Does the Job Entail?
As an Administrative Case Handler, you will be the hub between the registry and the case handlers in the planning and building permit units. For the best results and balance in workload, responsibilities and tasks are distributed within the group.
You will answer questions within your area via the city's contact center and participate in the digital development necessary to further refine the processes. You will work on development related to the Nova system, where you will create new templates and contribute to the automation of work tasks.
You will code incoming invoices and prepare billing documentation for outgoing invoices while monitoring payments. You will also handle building permit cases, issue decisions, monitor deadlines, work in the appeal process, and perform timely assessments, among other tasks. You will manage simpler building permit cases, such as sign permits and balcony glazing. You may also handle simpler supervision cases, which may involve site visits and preparing service letters for committee decisions.
In the planning process, you will work with communication in the form of displaying cases both physically and on the website, exhibition materials, announcements, and preparations for consultations.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone who has:
- 3-year upper secondary education
- experience working with building permit cases in municipal administration
- good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
It is advantageous if you have:
- knowledge of the Planning and Building Act (PBL)
- experience in developing and documenting administrative processes
- experience working as an administrator in municipal administration
- further education relevant to the position.
The group's mission is clear. Within the assignment, you have the opportunity and are expected to manage your own time effectively, develop the administration's working methods, and provide the best service to the city's citizens. You enjoy contributing to the development of the organization and can easily adapt to changing conditions. You like when tasks vary but can also appreciate the charm of somewhat monotonous work. Collaboration and social contacts are positive for you, and you enjoy solving challenges that come your way. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently and take the initiative to find solutions that drive the organization forward. You are meticulous and goal-oriented, always ensuring high quality. High-class service is important to you, which also permeates your approach.
