Are you a pensions specialist looking to work in M&A, audit, and advisory?

Are you looking to apply your existing knowledge in pensions into an M&A, audit, and advisory context, working with some of the largest Swedish corporates and private equity companies in an international, collaborative, and high-performing team? The Deal Advisory team at KPMG is looking to further strengthen our capabilities in Pensions.

About us:

KPMG Deal Advisory is a leading provider of M&A services in Sweden and globally. Our clients are both Swedish and International with a global footprint, and our engagements often take us outside the borders of Sweden.

The Pension & HR team within Deal Advisory in Stockholm currently comprises eight specialized Pension & HR professionals with various backgrounds offering services in the fields of Pension & HR due diligence, HR integration and separation, Pension advisory, and Pension audit. We are an international, collaborative, and high-performing team who takes pride in creating an inclusive and professional environment, offering a steep learning curve for both professional and personal growth. The official work language in the team is English. We apply a hybrid approach to our workplace where it is possible to work both from our offices and remotely. Most of us are based in Stockholm, but we welcome applicants based in any city in Sweden or those planning to relocate to Sweden.

Your role:

You will, together with our team, mainly support our clients with Pension due diligence (“PDD”) for both buy- and sell-side transactions and Pension audit (IAS19). As a consultant specialized in pensions, you will work with analysis of target pension arrangements, assessments of actuarial valuations and pension accounting, challenging e.g. reasonability in valuations, accounting of pensions, compliance with local legislation and/or statutory requirements, and finding potential liabilities and risks.

You have at least 2 years of experience working with pensions in an advisory role (e.g. as an actuary, corporate pension specialist, or pension consultant). You are a driven individual who places high emphasis on quality and are longing to work in an inclusive and professional environment that offers a steep learning curve. You already display strong analytical and mathematical skills alongside a basic understanding of actuarial principles and methodologies, and you are interested in deepening your knowledge of pensions and convey that into a commercial context. You equally appreciate taking on responsibility and being a key player in our team as well as “going to the bottom” with complex questions.

As the work includes both analysis and contact with clients and other advisors, you have a business mindset, an analytical way of thinking, and the ability to build good relationships. Fluency in English is a requirement; additional languages are an advantage.

What do we offer?

  • Support and training to grow quickly in a professional and forward-looking environment
  • A client-oriented role on a team serving the largest Private Equity and Corporate clients across Sweden
  • Mentorship under senior pensions specialists supporting your career and personal development
  • A local workplace with global opportunities! (we have offices in 155 countries)
  • A friendly and inclusive environment where diversity is one of our core values

We offer a competitive compensation package and an important work-life balance approach to the work we do. Take advantage of working in a dynamic environment with engaged and highly specialized colleagues. We apply a hybrid approach to our workplace where it is possible to work both from our offices and remotely. Our standard package includes 6 weeks paid holiday, generous employer pension contributions through collective bargaining agreements, various health and wellness benefits, and more!
