A Job Close to Life and Death

As a customer advisor, you build trust and confidence with our customers and are the guide in a time that for many is filled with sorrow and uncertainty. Working with funerals is varied, eventful, and requires a good understanding of people's different needs. You take overall responsibility for planning and adapting the ceremony according to the customer's needs and wishes while always having support from colleagues who are close at hand. Some of the tasks include:

  • Meeting relatives and providing advice on planning and conducting the funeral ceremony, including choices of ceremony type, coffins, urns, and other details
  • Preparing cost estimates, handling invoicing and payments
  • Coordinating and liaising with external suppliers such as florists, churches, and authorities
  • Acting as a representative in churches and chapels during ceremonies
  • Handling the deceased during pickups, personal farewells, and preparation for the ceremony
  • Providing support and practical guidance to relatives throughout the funeral process, from the first meeting to subsequent follow-up.

For our customer area in Gothenburg 1043 with offices in central Gothenburg, Västra Frölunda, Partille, Kungsbacka, and Mölndal, we are looking for a colleague who will be based at our office in Mölndal but will also staff the Kungsbacka office. Within the customer area, we work as a team and help each other, which means you will have the opportunity to work throughout the customer area.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date to be agreed upon. Fonus applies a 6-month probationary period.

What You Bring

  • Experience in service and/or sales
  • Experience working with a customer focus
  • Good administrative skills and familiarity with various business systems as well as the Office suite
  • Have a B driver's license, access to your own car, and be comfortable driving larger vehicles
  • It is an advantage if you speak multiple languages or have experience in our or related fields
  • It is an advantage if you have experience managing social media accounts
