Are you interested in and experienced with electronics, communication technology, and technical systems? At FMV's testing site in Karlsborg, you will lead the development of measurement and communication solutions that are crucial for testing and verifying advanced defense materiel.
About the role
In this position, you will become a key part of FMV's Verification and Validation (VoV) operations, contributing to ensuring that materiel and capabilities meet the Swedish Armed Forces' requirements. You will be responsible for the system lifecycle within the IT, electrical, and communication systems function – from planning and development to operation and maintenance – and will work closely with project teams, internal customers, and external suppliers.
You will plan, lead, and develop technical systems and measurement capabilities used in testing activities, ensuring that deliveries are executed according to schedule, budget, and quality requirements. The role also includes financial responsibility, procurement, and analysis and decision support for investments and development projects. At the same time, you will follow technical developments in the field and contribute to developing the testing site's measurement technical capabilities.
The position is located at the testing site in Karlsborg, where you will become part of an operation with advanced technology and a central role in developing future defense capabilities. Domestic travel occurs as a natural part of the role.
About you
We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in IT or equivalent competence acquired in another way that the employer deems equivalent. You have several years of professional experience in data, electronics, and/or communication technology. The position requires a B driver's license and good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
It is meritorious if you have experience leading projects with project staff or other relevant supervisory roles, as well as experience working in project planning tools such as MS Project or similar systems. We also view it positively if you have experience working with fiber optics, radio communication, and/or experience working with the Swedish Armed Forces' communication systems. If you also have experience in public procurement or IT accreditation, we view that positively as well. If you have project management training or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way, this will also be an advantage in the position.
Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone who thrives collaborating with others, is receptive, and solves problems constructively. You motivate and empower others with the authority needed to efficiently achieve common goals, create engagement and involvement, and are attentive and accommodating in your interactions. You take initiative, start activities, achieve results, and adapt easily to changing circumstances where you can quickly change your perspective and approach.
