Welcome to Härryda, a municipality that dares! Here, we aim to have Sweden's best schools and business climate, care of the highest quality, and attractive community building. Together, we are 3,000 employees who make the meeting with Härryda Municipality easy. With courage, innovation, and drive, we inspire each other and deliver service with competence and quality. For the past three years, Härryda Municipality has ranked at the top in Dagens Samhälle's annual ranking of Sweden's Super Municipality. You will find us between Gothenburg and Borås, with Landvetter Airport right in the middle of the municipality.
The IT function in Härryda Municipality aims to deliver modern, innovative IT with a high service level to the municipality's various operations. IT development in Härryda Municipality is in an expansive phase that places high demands on a supporting central IT. To meet the operational needs, we are now recruiting a service-oriented IT System Administrator.
On the IT function, we are 25 employees who exclusively work with system administration, operations, service, support, and system development. Do you want to be part of a great team in a municipality with high growth and exciting challenges? Send your application to Härryda Municipality. Together, we achieve more!
Your Role
Imagine a role where your work contributes every day to ensuring that Härryda Municipality functions securely and accessibly. As an IT System Administrator, you are the link between technology and operations.
You belong to the IT function and work closely with five colleagues in a team where collaboration, curiosity, and knowledge sharing are second nature. Your task is to administer designated operational systems and work with new needs from an IT and infrastructure perspective in close cooperation with the operations' own system administrators.
Together, you drive change projects and ensure that the systems not only function and are secure, but actually create value for everyone who uses them. In this role, you have designated operational systems with clear ownership, giving you a high degree of authority and room for action.
In practice, this means that you develop and decide on administration plans together with system owners and the operations' system administrators, translate operational needs into concrete IT requirements linked to infrastructure, and initiate and project-manage administration tasks from idea to delivery. You plan and coordinate system changes according to ITIL and the Change framework, and maintain an ongoing dialogue with suppliers and the IT function's technicians to secure and plan deliveries. An important area is responsible for keeping system documentation alive and up-to-date, as well as monitoring the external environment and capturing trends from an IT perspective. All work is conducted within the framework of the municipality's system administration model, which is based on a simplified version of PM3.
Requirements for the Position
We are looking for you with at least three years of operational experience in IT infrastructure, including server and network configuration. This knowledge gives you the right prerequisites to both discuss and plan needs and activities together with the operations. You have a technical understanding of how infrastructure is interconnected and how changes in one system can affect another. You have a relevant university education, for example in systems science, or what we assess as equivalent work experience.
It is meritorious if you have worked with system administration according to PM3 for at least three years and have project management experience. It is also meritorious if you have worked according to ITIL and are accustomed to planning changes, for example by writing change requests. In your application, we would like you to concretely describe in what way you have experience of IT infrastructure as well as your experiences within PM3 and ITIL.
As a person, you are humble and trustworthy, receptive, and generous with your knowledge. You move naturally between technology and operations and communicate in the way the situation requires. You make your own decisions, deliver with quality, and step up when needed. In the recruitment process, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
You are not just looking for a job. You are looking for a place where you can grow, contribute, and make a difference, for colleagues, for residents, and for the future of the entire municipality.
A Class B driver's license is a requirement for this position. You must be proficient in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
As a final candidate, you will undergo a background check, complete tests, and provide extracts from the Police's criminal record register.
What We Offer You

You step into an environment where your ideas are actually taken care of and where your contribution is truly visible, for residents and employees in Härryda Municipality.
We place great importance on your personal development and see you as a significant part of shaping the municipality's future IT environment. The office is located in attractive Mölnlycke center with good communications, and we offer the possibility to work partially remotely as well as a generous wellness allowance.
