About the Role

We are looking for an IT Architect with the role of Data and AI Solution Architect – someone who understands the business deeply and can translate that into sustainable data and AI architecture. The role is both strategic and hands-on: you set the direction and roll up your sleeves when needed.

Here, it is not about optimizing ad clicks or increasing quarterly profits. It is about smarter resource usage and better decisions – creating long-term value for children, employees, and society.

Your Mission

As a Data and AI Solution Architect here, you will:

• Further develop and quality-assure our lakehouse/data warehouse structure
• Work with data modeling and ensure sustainable information models
• Review and assess technical solution proposals
• Ensure data quality, historical tracking, and traceability
• Create structure that enables scalable AI and advanced analytics
• Participate in architecture and design meetings and act as the technical counterpart to Intraservice
• Enhance internal competence regarding data platforms and integration

You are given the mandate to influence technical choices and contribute to our long-term development. In your role, you are the bridge that translates business needs into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• University education in fields such as Systems Science, Data Architecture, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position

We look for you to have knowledge and/or experience in the following:

Data Platform

• Data architecture, information modeling, and lakehouse structure
• Data quality, historical tracking, and traceability
• Review and assess technical solution proposals
• Architecture governance and technical guidelines

AI and Integration

• Generative AI and modern AI platforms (LLM, RAG, agents, MCP, ETL/ELT)
• Create structure that enables scalable AI and advanced analytics
• API design, system integration, and container-based environments
• Practical experience with Python, TypeScript, or similar

Meritorious

• Experience from the public sector or regulated operations
• TOGAF, ArchiMate, or similar frameworks
• Understanding of EU AI Act, GDPR, and digital sovereignty
• Open standards and interoperability

We are responsible for education and care for approximately 25,000 children in nearly 350 municipal preschools. The administration has around 7,000 employees distributed across approximately 75 professions. Together, we work towards the same goal – to develop a fun, safe, and educational preschool for all children in Gothenburg.
