About the role

As a backend developer with a database focus, you will work in a cross-functional agile team where you help build, develop further, and improve our services and systems. You will work on system development combined with the development and maintenance of databases. The services you help build are a prerequisite for Sweden's pharmaceutical supply, and you contribute to robust and secure medication management for healthcare, pharmacies, and citizens.

You work closely with your colleagues, and you share responsibility within the team for the quality of the code produced. You are given significant autonomy while contributing to the bigger picture. Test-driven development and test automation are a natural part of your role, making this a position for you if you appreciate a breadth in your tasks.

About you

You are someone who is passionate about technology and moves comfortably between tools and environments. You are eager to learn what you don't know yet and bring ideas for new technical solutions and methods. As a person, you thrive when collaborating with others and take great personal responsibility for driving your work forward.

We are looking for someone who has:

• An academic education in IT, software, or programming, or alternatively several years of relevant work experience in similar tasks
• At least three years of recent experience in development with Quarkus, Spring Boot, or other equivalent Java frameworks
• At least two years of recent experience in database development in Postgres or other relational databases
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

The following qualifications are meritorious for the role:

• Recent experience working with container-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• Recent experience working in environments where testing and test automation are an integrated part of the code's lifecycle management
• Recent experience with version control using tools such as Liquibase or Flyway.
