We are in the midst of an exciting development journey where digitalization, AI, data-driven decisions, and information security are becoming increasingly important for our operations. As IT and Security Coordinator, you will play a key role in our organization. The position is relatively new, which means you will not step into a ready-made mold. On the contrary, you will have the opportunity to help shape the content, working methods, and development of the role together with the business operations.

About the role

The role combines strategic development work with operational elements in daily life. You will be our coordinating force in IT, information, and security matters and act as the link between the business operations, system suppliers, and Kalmar Municipality IT.

An important part of the assignment is to understand the business needs and translate them into functioning solutions. At our workplace, you will meet employees with different backgrounds and prerequisites. Therefore, it is crucial that you can communicate just as effortlessly with a system supplier as with all employees at Kretslopp Sydost.

You need to be able to talk about technology when needed – but above all, be able to make it understandable and relevant for the business.

Your main responsibilities

• Coordinate and drive the organization's work within IT, information, and cyber security.
• Provide business-oriented support in matters regarding IT systems, data management, and digital development.
• Work with risk analyses, security assessments, and incident management.
• Develop, implement, and follow up on policies, routines, and guidelines.
• Act as a contact person and purchaser towards Kalmar Municipality IT and external suppliers.
• Build bridges between the business operations, system administrators, superusers, and technical suppliers.
• Participate in procurements and ensure relevant IT and security requirements.
• Contribute to continuity and crisis preparedness work.
• Plan and conduct training and information initiatives within IT and security.
• Follow up on deviations and drive improvement work.
• Contribute to the development of a more data-driven working method in the organization.
• Handle ongoing questions regarding hardware, software, permissions, and digital tools.

You report to the Head of Environment and Development and are located in Moskogen, outside of Kalmar.

Who are you?

We believe you have experience in IT, information security, or digital business development. But just as important is who you are as a person.

Since the role is relatively new, you need to enjoy taking initiative, creating structure, and finding ways forward. You see opportunities where others see uncertainties and feel comfortable developing both working methods and responsibilities over time.

At the same time, you have the ability to meet people where they are. You can explain complex issues in a simple way and build trust with managers, employees, and external partners.

We are looking for someone who has

• Relevant post-secondary education in IT, information security, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in IT, digitalization, information security, or related areas.
• Good understanding of GDPR, NIS2, and other relevant regulations.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, system administration, and digital business support.
• Ability to communicate with both technical specialists and business-oriented users.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
