Your Responsibilities
We regularly receive requests for Systems Engineers for Saab! By applying, you will have the opportunity to be matched with various positions based on your interests, experience, and competencies.
As a Systems Engineer at Saab, you work in a central and coordinating role throughout the entire development chain. Depending on the assignment, you may work within areas such as weapon integration, aircraft systems, hydraulics, ILS, or other technical areas related to advanced products.
You gain a holistic perspective and are involved from early phases such as requirements definition and concept development, through design, verification, and product support.
Examples of tasks:
- Work with system development and design with a focus on function, performance, and the overall picture.
- Responsible for requirements analysis and ensuring compliance with customer and authority requirements.
- Lead or participate in system safety work.
- Plan and conduct verification, validation, and testing in simulators, rigs, as well as during ground and flight tests.
- Coordinate and organize activities in a project format throughout the entire development process.
- Work with technical investigations and problem-solving, both in development and in operation.
- Contribute to the development of instructions, equipment, tools, and maintenance solutions.
- Work with operational monitoring and product support towards the customer.
- Collaborate with several technical areas, such as design, analysis, production, purchasing, and suppliers.
- Participate in improvement work and the development of existing systems and working methods.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is curious, analytical, and has a strong interest in technology. You are structured and have the ability to handle complex information while seeing the big picture.
You are a team player who can also work independently, and you are motivated by contributing to the development of technologically advanced systems in a dynamic environment.
Requirements for the position:
- Civil Engineer or University College Engineer degree in fields such as flight technology, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent.
- Experience in systems engineering work.
- Good understanding of system development, requirements management, and technical interdependencies.
- Analytical ability and experience in compiling and communicating technical information.
- Ability to work systematically and handle multiple parallel tasks.
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
Desirable experience:
- Aircraft or defense industry experience.
- Hydraulics, mechatronics, or other complex technical systems.
- ILS (Integrated Logistic Support).
- Testing, verification, or trial runs.
- Data analysis, simulations, or calculations.
The position requires you to undergo and pass security clearance according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
