You will join a development team building business-critical mobile solutions for a socially important operation. The focus here is on modern Android applications and components that need to function stably in everyday life, with high demands on usability, performance, security, and integration with underlying systems and services.

A central part of the role is to develop a new Android-based map component that will be integrated into an existing mobile platform. You will also be involved in the development of a new application based on the ArcGIS Maps SDK and associated server services. The work takes place close to other development teams, architects, and business representatives, giving you good opportunities to influence both the solution and the implementation. This is a role for you who want to work with technology that makes a concrete difference in a complex and important environment.

• You develop and further develop modern Android applications and components for a mobile platform with high quality requirements.
• You help build a new Android-based map component and ensure it integrates well with existing solutions.
• You participate in the development of a new application based on the ArcGIS Maps SDK as well as associated server services.
• You work through the entire development process, from analysis and design to implementation, testing, documentation, and deployment.
• You collaborate closely with other development teams, architects, and business representatives to translate needs into sustainable technical solutions.
• You actively contribute to the agile working method through sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, workshops, and requirement dialogues.

• At least 5 years of documented experience working as a system developer with a focus on Android development.
• Documented experience in developing Android components and applications that integrate with existing systems, APIs, and services.
• Good knowledge of established architectural patterns for Android development, such as MVVM or MVI.
• Documented experience with Kotlin as the primary development language.
• Good experience with Android Studio and associated build and development tools.
• Very good Swedish and good English in speech and writing.
• Ability to undergo and pass a security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship, dual citizenship is not accepted).

• Experience with GIS-related development.
• Experience from developing applications with more than 10,000 users.
• Experience with gRPC.
