About the role

We see a changed security political situation and the building up of total defense in Sweden, which means that supervision of vital societal functions within the transport sector needs to be intensified. Therefore, we are looking for you who want to contribute to our exciting mission within cybersecurity.

Perhaps you have a background as an information security coordinator, a consultant in IT or information security, or a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Or perhaps you have worked as a lawyer with a focus on information security issues? At our agency, your background and experience may vary, but we are looking for someone who wants to influence our important mission to make Sweden safer – for real.

As a Cybersecurity Inspector, you will participate in our supervision of vital societal functions within the transport sector, in accordance with the Cybersecurity Act. The tasks involve reviewing management systems and assessing the network and information systems of operators. An important role we have as an authority is to provide guidance to the industry. You will provide support on cybersecurity issues through, for example, supervision, meetings, or lectures. In the role, you will also have the opportunity to participate in international working groups and collaborate with other member states.

Our section is in a build-up phase and is characterized by curiosity, challenges, and collaboration. Depending on your competence, you will be able to contribute to and develop our supervision to a large extent!

Travel with overnight stays in Sweden is included in the position.

You will

• conduct cybersecurity supervision together with the team
• work with guidance for the industry
• participate in environmental scanning activities
• participate in collaboration groups, both within the agency and with other supervisory authorities

You must have

• a relevant university or college education of at least 180 hp/120 credits in a field suitable for the position, e.g., security, IT, or other post-secondary education combined with relevant work experience that the Swedish Transport Agency deems equivalent
• at least two years of practical experience in what we consider a relevant area for the position, for example within cybersecurity, information security, or management system work
• very good ability to express yourself both in writing and verbally in Swedish
• good ability to express yourself both in writing and verbally in English
• A driver's license (Category B)

It is meritorious if you also have

• experience implementing management systems for information security, e.g., according to the ISO 27000 series
• experience with supervision
• practical experience in qualified auditing, review, or investigation
• practical application of the NIS regulations
• certification in information and cybersecurity
• experience from working in the transport sector
• a law or legal science degree

More information

The employment is permanent with placement in Norrköping. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee, there is an opportunity to work remotely up to three days a week. The needs of the operations and the nature of the tasks determine if and to what extent this is possible. A position with us may involve security clearance. A security investigation with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our security-classified tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.
