Are you passionate about data, analytics, and modern BI solutions? Then you could be our new System Developer!
Who are we?
Norrköping Municipality is investing in digitalization and developing modern solutions that create value for operations, employees, and residents. On the Department of Digitalization and IT, approximately 105 employees work to develop, maintain, and support the municipality's IT and information solutions.
At the Service Management unit, 26 dedicated employees work with the maintenance and new development of municipality-wide systems. We are in an exciting phase of development where we are building a new data platform and introducing Microsoft Power BI as the municipality's platform for analytics, reporting, and decision support.
We are now looking for a System Developer who wants to contribute skills that complement our team!
Your responsibilities
As a System Developer, you will work on further developing and maintaining Norrköping Municipality's reporting and analytics solutions in Microsoft Power BI. The municipality has established a foundation with reports and analytical support, and the work ahead involves developing solutions based on the needs of the operations and creating even greater value through data-driven insights.
You will be part of a team working with development in Microsoft Power BI and Power Platform, as well as databases, data modeling, and handling information from the municipality's various operational systems, such as finance, HR, and operational systems.
The work also includes maintaining and further developing existing reports and statistical solutions. You will work both independently and together with colleagues to ensure that the municipality's operations have access to reliable and usable information for monitoring and decision-making.
An important part of the role is to collaborate with the operations to understand their needs for monitoring, analysis, and decision support. You will participate in meetings, capture development needs, and translate them into reports, visualizations, and solutions that provide the right information to the right recipient.
The role also includes support and user assistance regarding existing and newly developed reports. You will occasionally handle questions and cases that need to be prioritized with short notice.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a university degree in a relevant field, such as computer science. You have good knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or similar systems, and it is an advantage if you have several years of experience in the field.
You have good knowledge of JavaScript, T-SQL, HTML, and CSS, as well as basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL, database management, and data modeling related to systems such as Power BI and reporting solutions.
For the position, it is required that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
As a person, you are analytical, solution-oriented, and structured. You set high quality standards for your work and contribute to a high level of quality awareness in the team.
You are self-motivated, proactive, and take responsibility for driving your work forward. At the same time, you find it easy to collaborate and build good relationships with both colleagues and representatives from the municipality's various operations.
The role requires that you can communicate clearly and pedagogically, as well as adapt your message to the recipient. You are receptive and have the ability to understand the needs of the operations to jointly find sustainable and operation-close solutions.
You have a good understanding of how the organization's structure, political processes, and operational goals affect the work and the decisions made.
