Within the Child and Education Administration, our approximately 3,000 employees meet with around 14,000 children and students at more than 100 preschools and schools throughout the municipality every day. Every child and student in Sundsvall's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals according to their own prerequisites. Every student should leave school with the desire, knowledge, and good conditions to meet adult life and the future.
Your new workplace
Stöde School is a grades F-9 school located approximately a 40-minute drive west of Sundsvall. The school has around 260 students and an after-school center with nearly 100 children. We are 45 employees working together in various roles. At Stöde School, we develop together with a view towards the future, aiming to be a stable and secure knowledge hub for both students and staff. Our organization is characterized by short decision-making paths, job satisfaction, and great engagement. We have a well-functioning student health service where all professions collaborate to ensure every student succeeds.
How you contribute as a Music Teacher
As a music teacher at our school, you will teach music in grades 3–6. You are responsible for creating a learning environment where every student has the opportunity to develop and reach their full potential. Your responsibilities include:
- Teaching and creating structured, varied, and engaging music lessons for grades 3–6.
- Adapting teaching based on each student's needs to ensure everyone reaches their goals.
- Evaluating and following up on students' knowledge development, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their learning process.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop the school's pedagogical work and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The music portion of the position accounts for approximately 40%, but it can be combined with other tasks, such as time at the after-school center or as a resource teacher.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for you who:
- Hold a teaching license with eligibility to teach music.
- Are structured and have a good ability to plan and organize your teaching effectively.
- Show great engagement in students' learning and have the ability to put each student at the center.
- Are passionate about awakening and developing students' curiosity and interest in music.
- Are flexible, communicative, and enjoy collaborating with others to create a positive and inclusive work environment.

Salary: Individual and differentiated salary setting is applied.
Terms: Salary supplements beyond the monthly salary follow the applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions website, www.skr.se
