Your responsibilities

As a subject teacher in English, Swedish, and German, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and developing teaching in accordance with the curriculum, subject plans, and the school's goals. You actively work to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to reach their full potential.

The position includes:

• planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in English, Swedish, and German
• adapting teaching based on students' needs and prerequisites
• assessing and documenting students' knowledge development
• providing clear and developmental feedback that supports students' learning
• creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• serving as a mentor for a group of students and collaborating with guardians as needed
• collaborating with colleagues, student health services, and school leadership to promote student development
• contributing to the school's quality and development work

You are part of a work team linked to one of the school's programs, where collaboration and collegial learning are an important part of the assignment. Together, you work to create the best conditions for students' learning, well-being, and future studies or working life.

Your qualifications

Required for the position:

• Teacher education.
• Qualification to teach at the upper secondary level in Swedish, English, and German.
• Good pedagogical and communicative skills.
• Ability to collaborate and build good relationships.

Meritorious qualifications include:

• Teaching certification with qualification to teach at the upper secondary level.
• Experience of teaching at the upper secondary level.
• Experience of individualized teaching.
• Experience of development and quality work within schools.
• Documented good results in student and knowledge development.

You are an engaged and responsible teacher with a strong focus on students' learning and development. Through your drive and ambition, you work to create good conditions for students to achieve their goals. You have good pedagogical skills, adapt teaching to students' needs, and create motivation through clear leadership.

You are results-oriented, structured, flexible, and communicative, with the ability to plan, implement, and follow up on teaching. The role requires good collaboration skills as you work closely with students, guardians, colleagues, and student health services. You build trusting relationships, contribute to a safe learning environment, and are a professional role model who shares the municipality's values. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

If you are offered employment within the upper secondary and adapted upper secondary schools at the Education and Labour Market Administration, you will need to present an extract from the Police's criminal record for work in schools or preschools. The extract is free to order but may take up to 2–3 weeks for the Police to process. We therefore recommend that you order the extract well in advance.

Before employment, you need to show that you have the right to work, which is required according to the Alien Ordinance. You do this by proving your citizenship within the EU/EEA or Switzerland with a passport, national ID card, or personal certificate together with an identity document. If you cannot do this, you need to present a work permit or show that you are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit.

The position is filled subject to necessary decisions being made.

In the recruitment process, we may use psychometric tests as part of the selection work.
