The Education and Employment Administration is looking for engaged and pedagogical teachers for our vocational program in Land and Infrastructure. We want you who want to shape the future vocational students at a modern, brain-smart school where theory and reality meet every day.

Your responsibilities

You will teach the basic subjects and contribute to giving students a stable foundation for their future professional lives. As a teacher with us, you work both in the classroom environment and close to reality through the students' APL (Work-Integrated Learning). This work includes:

• Maintaining regular contact with workplaces and supervisors.
• Conducting workplace visits.
• Monitoring, assessing, and documenting student development.

Furthermore, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching, as well as assessing students' goal achievement and providing clear feedback. You will be part of a work team where collaboration with colleagues is in focus.

Your qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are educated and licensed as a teacher. The position also requires:

• Good professional experience within your subject area.
• A B-category driver's license, as the work includes external visits and APL assignments.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to build good relationships with young people and partners.

It is particularly meritorious if you have:

• Pedagogical experience from upper secondary school.
• An established network within relevant industries.
• Experience of supervision, APL coordination, or other work-life contacts.
• Experience of vocational education, adult education, or similar operations.

We also welcome you who are not yet trained as a vocational teacher but have solid professional experience in land infrastructure. If you have also started, or are willing to start, a vocational teacher education, we see it as meritorious. For you who do not yet have a teaching license, employment may become relevant in the form of a fixed-term employment for one year according to the provisions of the School Act.

Personal competencies

In your work as a teacher, you combine close collaboration with colleagues and APL supervisors with open communication so that all parties know what is expected and how students are developing. When challenges arise, you use your problem-solving skills to quickly find practical and pedagogical solutions that benefit student learning. Through a clear planning and structured approach, you ensure that teaching, APL visits, and documentation are carried out in a thoughtful and quality-assured manner.

If you are offered employment within upper secondary and adapted upper secondary school at the Education and Employment Administration, you need to show an extract from the Police's criminal record for work in school or preschool. The extract is free to order but may take up to 2-3 weeks for the Police to process. We therefore recommend that you order the extract in good time.

Before employment takes place, you need to show that you have the right to work, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance. You do this by proving your citizenship within the EU/EEA or Switzerland with a passport, national ID card, or personal certificate together with an identity document. If you cannot do this, you need to show a work permit or show that you are exempt from the requirement for a work permit.

The position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.

In the recruitment process, we may use work psychological tests as part of the selection work.

We also use digital reference checking as part of the recruitment process. This means that you as a candidate may be asked to provide references digitally at a later stage of the process.
