Citizens' School in Kungsbacka is looking for a course leader in ceramics and pottery wheel

In preparation for the autumn term of 2026, Citizens' School in Kungsbacka is seeking a course leader for our ceramics and pottery wheel activities.

We are looking for someone who wants to take responsibility for their own groups alongside our existing operations and be part of a collaboration regarding routines, workshop management, and kiln handling.

The courses are primarily aimed at adult beginners and intermediate students and are mainly held in the evenings. Daytime and weekend courses may occur based on demand, needs, and availability.

What does the role involve?

As a course leader, you lead groups where participants develop at their own pace, from basic techniques to more independent creation.

You will:

  • Plan and conduct courses in ceramics and pottery wheel.
  • Support participants at beginner and intermediate levels.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inspiring course environment.
  • Work independently with your own groups while collaborating on shared routines.
  • Contribute to keeping the course premises and workshop in good condition.
  • Take responsibility for firing and kiln handling together with the existing course leader.

We are looking for you who:

  • Have good knowledge of ceramics and pottery wheel.
  • Have practical experience with ceramic techniques, materials, and processes.
  • Have the ability to teach others in a pedagogical manner.
  • Enjoy leading adult participants at various levels.
  • Are confident, meticulous, flexible, and engaged.

Formal education in ceramics is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have strong subject knowledge, practical experience, and a desire to share your skills in a clear and inclusive way.

About the assignment

The assignment is a paid hourly position according to the circle leader agreement.

We look forward to a long-term collaboration where you regularly lead ceramics and pottery wheel courses with us in Kungsbacka.

Please submit your application in the form of a cover letter and CV.

Recruitment is ongoing.
