Your working day as Unit Manager

The Student and Educational Support Department consists of three units: the Student Support and Educational Administration Unit, the Educational Processing Unit, and the Educational Support Unit. The Educational Support Unit is responsible for providing support regarding higher education pedagogical development aimed at teachers. This includes, for example, support in the development of courses, modules, and teaching methods, as well as work to strengthen teachers' digital competence. The unit is also responsible for supporting and further developing the university's learning environments, as well as coordinating and supporting the university's internationalization efforts. Eleven employees work at the unit, located in both Falun and Borlänge.

This is a development-oriented unit with high change capacity, where you lead, support, and coach employees in systematic operational development. You have responsibility for the budget, personnel, and operations. You are part of the department's management group, where you, together with the department head and fellow unit managers, create the conditions for developing the department's and the university's operations.

Are you the person we are looking for?

Our requirements:

• academic degree
• at least two years of experience working as a manager and leader
• strong administrative skills
• good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious qualifications:

• previous employment within the higher education sector, thereby understanding educational and research issues.

You are motivated by leading, collaborating, and creating conditions for others to develop and thrive. You are empathetic and appreciate human interaction.

The Employment

The employment is a permanent position, 100% full-time, with immediate start. Probationary period may apply. Dalarna University is a higher education institution operating in two locations. The place of employment for this position is Falun, and some work also takes place in Borlänge. Possibility to conclude a remote work agreement exists.
