Your Responsibilities

To the area of Special and Support Services within the Education Administration, we are now seeking a Development Manager with a focus on mathematics. The role involves providing close support to primary schools and special primary schools regarding the subject of mathematics. The assignment includes, in close collaboration with the department manager, area managers, and principals, supporting schools in developing mathematics teaching and its follow-up, with the aim of strengthening students' knowledge results in the subject of mathematics. You will be an important cog in the department's support team, where collaboration with other support functions is a prerequisite for us to succeed.

Your Workplace

Special and Support Services is the area within the primary school department that organizes the Education Administration's support functions. We are there to provide guidance and consultation, concrete practical advice, and to jointly create a plan for how operations can best move from obstacles to opportunities, whether it is long-term work or from a shorter perspective. The support functions within Special and Support Services form a central part of both the municipal authority's and the department's systematic quality work.

You Who Apply

To succeed and thrive in the role of Development Manager, you are required to have:

• A completed teacher's degree.
• Previous work experience in leading other teachers and supporting principals.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Special education teacher training with a focus on mathematics.
• Experience as a lead teacher with a focus on mathematics, or other experience that the employer considers equivalent, for example, as a senior lecturer with relevant focus.
• Good knowledge of English in both speech and writing.

Regarding your personal qualities, we are looking for you who have a secure and clear leadership ability in your role without being a manager. You lead, motivate, and provide others with the authority required to efficiently achieve common goals. You coordinate groups naturally, become a reference point for others, and create engagement and participation in the operations. The role also requires very good collaboration skills. You work well with other people and relate to them in a sensitive and flexible manner. You are good at listening, communicating, and resolving any conflicts in a constructive way.

Furthermore, you are structured in your working method. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and set and maintain timeframes. You have a good holistic view, meaning you see the big picture and take the broader perspective into account. You understand your own role but always consider the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions. Finally, you are goal- and result-oriented. You work actively towards set goals and focus on results, which drives your priorities, planning, and actions. You also adapt easily and change your direction when goals change.
