Description

Pediatrics is part of the Child and Women's Healthcare division and is responsible for emergency and planned, outpatient and inpatient care. Our catchment area includes approximately 61,000 children and young people aged 0–18 in Skaraborg. Pediatrics has approximately 200 employees across several professional categories, including pediatric nurses, pediatricians, and nursing assistants. The operations are conducted at two clinics, two day-care wards, and one inpatient ward.

Pediatric Clinic

The Pediatric Clinic provides specialized planned and emergency outpatient care for children and young people up to 18 years old who do not require 24-hour care. We are staffed during daytime hours Monday to Friday. Our operations in Lidköping include telephone advice. The nurses have their own clinics within neurology, urology, and nephrology, gastroenterology, diabetes, allergy, and obesity.

We work here as a great team with close collaboration across all professions. We also collaborate closely with our neighboring healthcare units. We within Pediatrics are a clinic and work closely together. We always focus on providing patients and their relatives with excellent care and a positive experience of their treatment with us.

Job Responsibilities

As a pediatric nurse/nurse, you will primarily work in direct patient care and serve as a natural contact point for both relatives and parents. You will have the opportunity to work from a broad perspective within pediatric care, developing your competence while facing new challenges based on the unit's focus and breadth.

We currently need to strengthen our clinic with a nurse in Lidköping. Weekend duty every 6th weekend in Skövde is included.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a pediatric nurse or a nurse. Experience in pediatrics is meritorious for the position. Functional training and/or experience in asthma/allergy, obesity, diabetes, urotherapy, cardiology, neonatology, gastroenterology, oncology, and neurology is meritorious.

You have:

• Good ability to collaborate with colleagues, patients, and relatives.
• Ability to work flexibly based on our different patient groups and handle emerging situations.
• A genuine interest in pediatric care and a desire to work for the development of the operations, the team, and your personal growth.
• Good ability to take initiative and work independently.

Working with children requires creativity and patience to build trust with the patient and their guardians. The approach is crucial in all situations. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability from a child's perspective.
