About the workplace

The Rehabilitation Unit's mission targets individuals registered in municipal primary care living in ordinary housing, special housing, housing with special support, short-term units, and day activities. We collaborate closely with nurses, social secretaries, home care staff, and housing personnel.

Through city grants, we have the opportunity to temporarily expand our occupational therapist resources for a period of one year. Therefore, we are now looking for an occupational therapist. You will join a wonderful, engaged, and secure work group.

We are located at Ale Senior Centre in Älvängen, a 20-minute commuter train ride from Gothenburg Central Station.

Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist in Ale, you plan your own workday in close collaboration with the team and have influence over your working hours. You work closely together with physiotherapists and are part of a team with nurses and assistant nurses.

You work with assessment, treatment, testing, and prescription of assistive devices, delegation, and supervision of care staff. You also perform assessments and write certificates for housing adaptations. The role includes mobility training for care staff and supervision of students.

In addition to person-centered care, you and your colleagues, together with the manager, are responsible for developing the operations. Everyone has an individual development plan where we together find the right competence development based on the needs of the operation and your wishes.

Qualifications

You are a licensed occupational therapist with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare and hold a valid B-driver's license.

Experience working as an occupational therapist in municipal primary care is meritorious. Experience and knowledge in active mobility and mobility with patient lifts are also considered meritorious.

You are accustomed to working with IT-based medical record systems and have the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Our team-based way of working requires that you are flexible, take responsibility for your tasks, collaborate well with colleagues, and are secure in your professional role. You must also have good ability to independently structure and organize your work tasks.
