Western Norrland Regiment with Jämtland Ranger Battalion, I 21, was re-established in 2022. The unit operates in three locations: Sollefteå, Östersund, and Härnösand, and is responsible, among other things, for training and maintaining two sub-arctic infantry battalions and a military base.
We are now looking for a Company Adjutant stationed at the Jämtland Ranger Battalion in Östersund.
Main Responsibilities
As a Company Adjutant, you are primarily an administrative resource for the company command and platoon leaders to ensure that the training of conscripts can be carried out with high efficiency. Your main duties are at the company level, where you primarily work with administrative tasks such as travel orders, allowances, and grants for conscripts.
In this role, you also support the company with ordering goods, equipment, services, and food, as well as simpler economic and personnel administration. As an adjutant, you will also perform practical tasks such as being the quartermaster (logistics officer) and/or providing logistical support during training, exercises, and field operations. You usually solve your tasks independently but have close cooperation with the adjutants in other companies where you help each other distribute tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Category B driver's license (manual)
- Experience in administrative work
- Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Merits
- Conscription or basic military training
- Previous service within the Swedish Armed Forces
- Military pre-employment certificate
- Experience working in SAP, PRIO, S/4 HANA systems
- Experience working in Microsoft Excel

Work location: Östersund
Working hours: 40 hours/week. Working hours will largely be during the day, but scheduled duty at other times may occur, for example, during exercise conditions. The work may involve domestic business trips and occasional overnight stays. The position includes 3 hours of physical training during working hours.

A new regiment with centuries-old traditions in Western Norrland and Jämtland. With us, you have the opportunity to be part of something unique, the re-establishment of the infantry in Lower Norrland. I 21 currently operates in Sollefteå, Östersund, and Härnösand and is responsible for the Lower Norrland Garrison. At Ångermanland Infantry Battalion and Jämtland Ranger Battalion, conscript soldiers are trained for service in the new modern infantry to operate from mountains to sea in a sub-arctic environment.
