Do you want to make a difference for children and young people with complex psychiatric issues? At BUP Mellanvård, you will become part of an engaged and experienced team where collaboration, development, and the patient's needs are at the center.
BUP Mellanvård is part of the BUP section for Intensive Outpatient Care and offers specialized interventions to children, young people, and their families who need more intensive support. The clinic is located at Arenavägen 33 in the Globen area.
We work according to FACT (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment) – a model based on flexibility, collaboration, and individualized interventions for patients with complex psychiatric issues, often in combination with comorbidity and reduced functional capacity. Treatment is tailored to the needs of each patient and family and takes place at the clinic, at home, or in other environments where the patient is located.
Around 20 employees with various professions work here, including doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, therapists, and administrators. We value cross-professional collaboration, knowledge sharing, and an open working climate where everyone contributes their expertise.
Job Description
As an occupational therapist, you will become an important part of our cross-professional team. You are responsible for occupational therapy assessments and treatment interventions for children, young people, and their relatives. The role includes:
- assessing activity and functional capacity,
- planning and implementing occupational therapy interventions,
- contributing to rehabilitation planning,
- providing consultative support to colleagues in working with patients' activity capacity,
- collaborating with families and other actors around the child or young person.
The work is carried out both individually and in close collaboration with other professions within the team. Here, you will have a varied and meaningful job where you have the opportunity to make a real difference in the daily lives and development of children and young people.
Qualifications
Licensed occupational therapist is required.
Experience in occupational therapy work with children and young people within habilitation or child and adolescent psychiatry is meritorious.

About Us
BUP Stockholm's unit for young people with psychosis and bipolar disorder is part of BUP Stockholm. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Stockholm (BUP) offers specialized psychiatric care for children and young people under 18 years of age within Stockholm County. We are part of the Stockholm County Council Healthcare Services (SLSO), which is a healthcare provider within Region Stockholm. Together, we in BUP have about 1,200 employees who meet over 22,000 children, young people, and their families every year.
The position is filled subject to it not needing to be taken for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
In patient-related work within Stockholm County Council Healthcare Services:
- register control is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register control upon employment.
>- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
