Are you a confident and independent nurse who thrives on making decisions and providing support where it is needed most? We are currently seeking nurses for a meaningful on-call assignment in the municipality.

About the assignment

As an on-call nurse with us, you play a central role in maintaining safe and secure care during times when regular daytime operations have ended. The work is scheduled for evenings and nights, throughout the year.

  • Working hours: Weekdays 16:00–07:15.
  • Weekends: From 16:00 the day before the weekend/holiday until 07:15 the following day.

Your responsibilities

You work on a mobile basis, providing support to various municipal operations (currently 9 group homes, 2 service apartments, and 2 SÄBO facilities). Your main tasks include:

  • Assessment & Action: Independently assess, implement, and evaluate medical interventions.
  • Emergency & Planned interventions: Handle everything from planned visits to acute medical needs and palliative care at the end of life.
  • Advisory: Provide professional telephone advice to care staff.
  • Collaboration: Contact physicians as needed and follow prescriptions.
  • Documentation: Medical records are kept in the municipality's operational system in accordance with current legislation.

Requirements for the position

To succeed in this role, you must remain calm under pressure and possess high clinical competence.

  • Registered Nurse with experience deemed relevant for the assignment.
  • Language requirements: Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. You must be able to communicate effortlessly with patients, relatives, doctors, and care staff, as well as document securely.
  • Rapid response: You must be able to respond to alarms within 15 minutes and be on-site for emergency visits within 30 minutes (60 minutes for geographically remote areas such as Djurö).
  • Quality-conscious: You work strictly according to the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and national guidelines, including those for palliative care.

We offer

A responsible and varied job where you can utilize your full range of skills as a nurse. You will become a vital link in the care chain and make a difference for the municipality's residents when they are most vulnerable.
