About the position
We are a versatile and engaged general psychiatric outpatient unit that receives biologically aged individuals with specialist psychiatric care needs, individuals with affective diseases and anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, personality disorders, and comorbidity with a specialist psychiatric diagnosis in ASD and/or ADHD without ADHD medication. The unit is located in Södertälje center.
Our focus is on offering patients holistic care with high quality and efficient flows.
Approximately 25 employees work at the unit, such as nurses, senior physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, counselors, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries. We work in teams where different perspectives are taken into account to best treat and support the target groups.
Treatment interventions are offered based on regional care programs, including medication treatment, psychological treatment, psycho-pedagogical interventions, and psychiatric nursing.
To meet the patient's needs, we collaborate across unit and professional boundaries as this contributes to an important holistic perspective medically, psychologically, and socially. We also have close cooperation with, among others, social services.
Opportunities for some remote work are available after the onboarding period. Supervision is offered.
We are looking for you who
- Are a registered nurse with a genuine interest in psychiatry.
- Have experience working with patients with specialist psychiatric diagnoses.
- Have specialist training in psychiatry (meritorious).
- Have good knowledge of Swedish (level C1 or higher).
- Enjoy building trusting relationships with patients and are flexible in your work approach. Since teamwork is central, you should have good collaboration skills.

Your role
As a nurse at our unit, you will play a central role in supporting patients with various psychiatric needs. Your daily work will include crisis and care plans, follow-up after discharge from inpatient care, suicide prevention, health talks, medication dispensary management, responsibility for our e-function (telephone counseling and Always Open), monitoring of Lifecare SP, and conducting PNU (Patient and Next of Kin Education).
About the clinic
Psychiatry Center Södertälje is a clinic within the Stockholm County Council's healthcare area, SLSO. We are located in premises at the Södertälje hospital area and in Södertälje center. The geographical area of responsibility for our assignment is Södertälje, Salem, and Nykvarn municipalities, providing adult psychiatric specialist care for residents over 18 years old.
Employment type
Permanent position. Working hours are Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week. Start date by agreement. Recruitment is ongoing.

In patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council's healthcare area:
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- Requires, in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
