As a nurse with us, you will
Work in a clinic where you use and deepen your nursing knowledge and thereby develop in your role as a nurse. Your introduction will be individualized with the opportunity for training/education in various modules in our own KTC (Clinical Training Center). You will, among other things, meet patients with a variety of diagnoses in both acute and stable care situations, handle various types of medical technology equipment and medication.
There is an opportunity to engage yourself and develop care through our quality groups. If you are an experienced nurse, there is always the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and contribute to improvement work in relevant areas within geriatrics.
There is an opportunity to influence your working hours; we apply individual scheduling with the new working time regulations. Probationary employment may be applied.
Job Responsibilities
The primary job responsibility is to plan and carry out the patient's care together with the team, the patient, and relatives. On each ward, there are discharge coordinators who relieve the nurse in the work with the discharge process. In medication administration, we use inpatient dosing, which promotes patient safety and the working environment.
Qualifications
Requirements: Registered Nurse.
Merits: Experience of geriatrics/inpatient care. Specialist education and/or advanced education.

About Us
Jakobsbergsgeriatriken has five units for patients with acute medical conditions of both medical, surgical, or orthopedic cause and/or rehabilitation needs. Two of these units are profiled against stroke and acute confusion.

We have flexible working time agreements and are keen on a good working environment where there is also the possibility of a wellness allowance of 5000 SEK/year/full-time.
A gym is available in our premises. It is close to municipal transport, good cycling paths with access to locked bike racks, and staff subsidy on car parking.

We apply the Working Time Agreement with the Swedish Nurses' Association. The agreement means that nurses who work shifts in round-the-clock operations earn time into a time bank. The time can then be taken out as equivalent time, money, or pension savings, according to the employee's wishes. We also work with healthy schedules in individual scheduling.

- register control is applied before a decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register control at employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- requires, in addition to Swedish professional qualification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The same requirement is guiding regarding non-licensed staff with patient contact.
