Klingsta is a dementia care facility with 39 apartments, beautifully located in a natural area near Edsviken and within walking distance from Mörby Centrum. The apartments are distributed across 4 units. Klingsta Care and Residential Home is surrounded by a beautiful enclosed green garden with apple trees and quiet places. We have walking distance to the waters of Edsviken and nice walking paths.

The operations are characterized by high competence within the different professional categories. All staff work from a rehabilitative approach where the goal is to see each resident as an individual and take into account their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Our goal is to provide good individualized care and stimulation with competent staff that addresses interests and needs.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a cook, you will perform all necessary tasks in a large kitchen. You will mainly work with cooking, salad preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, baking, menu planning, self-control checks, and food handling. The responsibility is to provide good and nutritious food. Special diets are common, as half of the residents require special diets. Microbiological safety is prioritized.

The tasks are carried out in close cooperation with meal assistants and other staff at the facility. By having good communication and collaboration, we can ensure that the residents' individual needs and wishes are met.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Cook training within the restaurant and/or large kitchen sector.
• Experience working in elderly care or at a nursing home.
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Training in food hygiene.
• Knowledge of special diets for the elderly and people with dementia.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of and have completed HACCP.

You are a stable person who handles stress constructively and maintains a good mood. You enjoy working with others and have very good teamwork skills with your common goal in focus.
