About the operations:

In Vallentuna, school restaurants, preschool kitchens, and elderly care kitchens are organized into a single catering unit under the catering manager. Each kitchen has a head chef responsible for their staff and the planning of operations. We work according to the municipality's overarching food policy.

Responsibilities:

As a kitchen assistant, you prepare for meals, serve, wash dishes, and clean. As a cook, you prepare and cook various meals. You also participate in other tasks found in a kitchen. Your workplace varies and can be in different kitchens within the municipality's schools, preschools, and elderly care facilities.

As a casual staff member, you work weekdays, daytime, as needed in our operations. We need substitutes who can start already now during the autumn term and preferably also work during the spring term. During holidays, we have a very limited need for substitutes. We would like you to be able to work as a casual staff member with us at least 2–3 days/week.

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age.
• You master the Swedish language both in speech and in writing.

Merits:

• Experience from large-scale catering, cafes, or restaurants, or a strong interest in cooking.
• Knowledge of special diets and their preparation.
• Trained cook or kitchen assistant.
• Driver's license, or that you can otherwise get to our kitchens in Vallentuna quickly and easily.

The position is intermittent (a need-based employment where you receive compensation per hour worked). We apply individual salary setting.
