About the Workplace

Klingsta is a dementia care facility with 39 apartments, beautifully located in a natural area near Edsviken and within walking distance of Mörby Centrum. The apartments are distributed across 4 departments. Klingsta Care and Nursing Home is surrounded by a beautiful enclosed green garden with apple trees and quiet places. We have walking distance to the waters of Edsviken and nice walking trails.

The operations are characterized by high competence across various professional categories. All staff work from a rehabilitative approach where the goal is to see each resident as an individual and take into account their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Our aim is to provide good individualized care and stimulation with competent staff that honors interests and needs.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a meal assistant, you help create good, nutritious, and sustainable meals for our residents. In this role, you are responsible for preparing cold dishes such as salads, smoothies, and desserts, as well as cooking dishes and sauces according to the planned menu. The work includes cooking, dishwashing, cleaning, food handling, and receiving deliveries. You handle special diets, organize the storage, and work actively to reduce food waste.

The tasks are performed in close cooperation with the chef and other staff at the home. Through good communication and collaboration, we can ensure that the residents' individual needs and wishes are met.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Education or experience in large kitchens, restaurants, or similar operations.
• Experience working in elder care or at a nursing home.
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Education in food hygiene.
• Knowledge of special diets for the elderly and people with dementia.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of and have completed HACCP. We are looking for you who have a structured way of working where you organize and plan your work well and finish on time with good quality. You are a stable person who handles stress constructively and maintains a good mood. You enjoy working with others and have very good collaboration skills with your common goal in focus. We place great importance on personal suitability.
