About the Workplace

As a nursing assistant (undersköterska), you make a difference – every day. You provide support, service, and care to individuals, primarily the elderly, who need your help to manage their daily lives. Your work is about creating security, dignity, and quality of life. In this role, you meet people with various needs, and sometimes individuals living with mental health issues or substance abuse problems. This requires both sensitivity and professional interaction – and gives you the opportunity to positively influence people's lives.

The Home Care service in Uddevalla Municipality is investing in the future by continuously developing and implementing digital solutions. Our goal is to enable people with home care needs to remain at home for as long as possible – with security and quality in their daily lives. As an employee, you will receive a work phone as an important tool for communication and planning.

Responsibilities

• You will create a secure daily life for our users through good care and support.
• The support can vary depending on the individual's needs and wishes. This may include helping with personal care, preparing meals, etc.
• We work based on Individual Needs in Focus (IBIC) and structured documentation. You will document events related to users and write implementation plans.
• You will also perform health and medical tasks after delegation from a registered nurse.

About the Position

As a nursing assistant in home care during night shifts, you are a key person in creating security and dignity for our users at night. You provide professional care and support where it is needed most, becoming part of an engaged team with an important mission – to make a difference every night. During night shifts, staff drive between visits to our users, and the basic rule is that two people always travel together in a car to ensure safety for both users and staff. The position primarily involves night shifts, with some evening shifts. Upon request, there is also an opportunity for day shifts when operations allow. You will work every other weekend.

As a nursing assistant in night home care, you will:

• Belong to one of four geographical areas in Uddevalla.
• Collaborate with the safety alarm system to provide quick assistance in urgent situations.
• Contribute to the development of night operations together with colleagues and management.
• Strengthen integrated care by integrating day and night home care to ensure continuity and holistic care for users.

Qualifications

• Trained as a nursing assistant (undersköterska).
• Has at least 1 year of experience working in home care.
• Hold a Category B driver's license and can drive in all weather and road conditions.

Other Information

This is a rotational position, meaning primarily night shifts with some evening shifts. Upon request, there is also an opportunity for day shifts when operations allow.
