We are looking for a substitute care assistant until 2027-01-31 with the possibility of extension.

About the workplace

Backavik's special housing is operated in an intrapreneurship model, which means that you as an employee and our tenants have a high degree of participation and significant influence on the operations and its content. Tenants are offered to participate in various contexts, for example, to participate in recruitment or participate in team meetings consisting of a cross-professional work group.

The focus of the intrapreneurship lies on the tenants' well-being, the employees' joy of work, and a pleasant outdoor and indoor environment.

Backavik consists of 40 apartments with three departments focusing on dementia and one department focusing on somatics. All employees here have undergone training and certification in the Star-marked model (person-centered care with a high degree of self-determination), and as a new employee, you will also receive this training. We continuously work with BPSD, risk assessments, and follow-ups. Care guides are available as support in your daily work.

All tenants should be given the opportunity to "live as long as one lives" in secure and enjoyable conditions. Great importance is therefore placed on offering activities with varied content.

Job Responsibilities

At our facility, you perform care and service measures according to the Social Services Act. You support and motivate the individual in everyday life through an attentive, flexible, salutogenic, and professional approach, where the individual's self-determination is in focus.

The work also includes being a contact person, creating implementation plans, performing prescriptions and delegated tasks from home healthcare, reporting, documenting in the journal, and creating deviations if necessary.

At Backavik, you will also be part of an intrapreneurship group (work group) responsible for different areas, quality/schedule, food/ordering, activity, and design/joy of work. It is in these intrapreneurship groups that a large part of our joint development work takes place.

We collaborate throughout the house.

Schedule, evening shifts, and every other weekend.

Qualifications

You have education as a care assistant and master the Swedish language in speech and writing.

We are looking for you who want to help develop elderly care. Working together with people is both stimulating and fun for you. You enjoy working in a group, being engaged and responsible, while feeling secure in working independently.

We are looking for you who have a good attitude and professional approach.

We would like you to be curious and open to new opportunities and willing to participate in development work.

Being able to collaborate with colleagues, other professions, and management is a prerequisite for a good working climate and for a good result for the tenants!

It is meritorious if you have a few years of work experience from elderly care and good computer skills.
