We are looking for a nurse or biomedical laboratory scientist interested in a varied and exciting job. At GeBlod Örebro, we are a team of about 20 employees consisting of nurses, biomedical laboratory scientists, and assistant nurses. In addition to blood collection activities at USÖ and in blood buses, we perform component preparation at USÖ. We are a cheerful group with broad competence and different experiences. You will be part of the blood collection activity, which means collecting donors for blood, plasma, and platelets. Administrative tasks, recruiting new blood donors, and component preparation are examples of additional tasks that may be included. For us, it is important that you get a good start in your new assignment and feel secure in your work tasks. You will therefore receive a good introduction and training from experienced colleagues.

We are looking for you who are an experienced registered nurse or registered biomedical laboratory scientist. If you have experience from blood center operations, it is meritorious. With us, it is important to be service-oriented, responsible, and flexible. As a person, you enjoy varied work and can handle situations with both higher and lower tempo in a structured way. To thrive with us, you have a good ability to collaborate and communicate with your colleagues, as well as a good attitude and understanding for our blood donors.

The Laboratory Medicine area has a joint responsibility for the laboratory medicine service provided at the laboratories within Örebro University Hospital, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindesberg Hospital. We run a broad operation within the areas of clinical chemistry, bacteriology, virology, immunology, transfusion medicine including therapeutic plasmapheresis treatment, pathology, cytology, and molecular genetics. The area also includes Sterile Technology. Here, nearly 300 people work with routine diagnostics, research and development, as well as education.

Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the county's three emergency hospitals where we provide advanced healthcare, research, and education.
