Job Description
About the Role
The role of Education Coordinator for Anesthesia Nurses involves county-wide responsibility for education and induction within anesthesia. You will work closely with the operations and play a key role in ensuring a common competence level at our anesthesia units throughout the county. The role is combined with clinical duties as a specialist nurse in anesthesia and is shared between two anesthesia nurses (50% educational assignment per person).
- Responsible for the induction of newly hired anesthesia nurses at USÖ, KGA, and LBG
- Responsible for the induction of general nurses and nursing assistants within the anesthesia services at USÖ, KGA, and LBG
- The responsibility for the county divisions KGA and LBG is distributed equally
- Plan continuing education for nurses and nursing assistants within the ANIVA clinic anesthesia
- Monitor the clinic's need for education and development for nurses and nursing assistants in consultation and dialogue with TAL, TAS, SKU, Experts, MT-responsible, and Deputy Unit Managers
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct planning and education days, as well as follow up on continuing education efforts
- Identify the operations' needs for education and competence development
- Collaborate with the Study Director for the ST (Specialist Training) program when planning and placing different education categories
- Contact person for the University, Study Director, and adjunct clinical lecturers
- Coordinate and register participants for county-wide courses and education
- Responsible for planning the annual education week in week 34 together with other responsible persons across the entire clinic
Other Details
- 50% educational assignment / 50% clinical duty. During summer: 100% clinical duty
- Clinical duty is a prerequisite for the role.
- Employers: Operations Manager, Unit Manager, and Deputy Managers
- The work is planned in close dialogue with the Unit Manager and Deputy Managers
- The work is carried out in close collaboration with other professions within the care chain
- Clinical duty is planned in collaboration with the Deputy Unit Manager and the scheduler.

About the Operations
The Anesthesia and Intensive Care operations area conducts activities at the region's three hospitals: Örebro University Hospital, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindesberg Hospital. It is a large operations area with approximately 400 employees. Our work areas include anesthesia, intensive care, operating room services (post-op and day surgery), and a neuro-intermediate ward. At Karlskoga Hospital, there is an anesthesia department, an intensive care unit, and a postoperative unit.
