At the Health and Care Administration

At the Health and Care Administration, we are today approximately 1,400 employees who, with our combined knowledge and professional experience, provide care and healthcare to the residents of Alingsås in their homes or in our residential facilities. We are looking for assistant nurses for the short-term units at Kvarnbacken and Ängabogården. Individuals who need support for a limited period come here. The unit is focused on people in need of rehabilitation, palliative care, and assessment, and who have extensive care needs. We hope that you want to join and strengthen our teams!

Job Responsibilities

In our operations, we work from a salutogenic perspective, which means we start from the resources and abilities that the user has. We adapt support, care, and nursing based on individual needs. In your role, you will work independently but collaborate with your colleagues to achieve the operation's goals, and you will work based on delegated tasks according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).

The tasks vary depending on the user's need for assistance. You will primarily work with good nursing, service, and social interaction, but also documentation, planning, certain health and medical care tasks, and development work. Together with your colleagues, you are the key person around the user, and you work together to create a good life for the individual.

Your working days may involve everything from delivering meals, administering medication, walks, laundry, to sitting down and talking for a while with someone who needs it. You also attend welcome conversations, draw up and update ongoing implementation plans, contact relatives, and document according to current legislation in our digital systems.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are trained as an assistant nurse with a protected professional title
• are well familiar with digital platforms, following the workplace's action plans, policies, and guidelines, as well as Section 1:1 of the Social Services Act (SoL)
• have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

Previous experience within elderly care or other experience within healthcare is meritorious.

We are looking for you who are secure and have a professional approach in meetings with users, relatives, and colleagues. You are flexible and can adapt to the users' needs and the operation's conditions. With a listening attitude and good cooperation skills, you contribute to good nursing and good cooperation within the work group.
