Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and thrive on combining practical work with data analysis? Do you want to work in an international environment where sensory research contributes to the development of tomorrow's products? Then this might be the role for you.
We are now looking for a Sensory Analyst & Panel Technician for BAT in Malmö. In this varied role, you combine practical support in the daily operation of sensory panels (40%) with the planning, execution, and analysis of sensory studies together with Sensory Scientists (50%). The remaining 10% of the role focuses on identifying opportunities to develop the sensory operations through AI and digitalization.
You work on-site in Malmö while collaborating with a global sensory team on projects together with colleagues around the world.
The position is a long-term full-time assignment as a consultant via Adecco with a desired start date of September 1st.
Your Responsibilities
As a Sensory Analyst & Panel Technician, you will work with both the operational and analytical aspects of sensory research. Your main tasks include:
- Supporting the daily operation of several sensory panels by preparing samples, communicating with panelists, leading panel sessions and training, and handling administrative and data-related tasks.
- Driving sensory projects from start to finish together with Sensory Scientists, from planning and sample coordination to execution and reporting.
- Designing experimental setups (DOE), programming questionnaires, and ensuring that studies are conducted according to approved protocols and schedules.
- Analyzing and interpreting sensory data, producing reports, and communicating results and insights to internal stakeholders.
- Managing a high volume of test requests and coordinating planning based on business priorities and operational requirements.
- Building a deep understanding of the company's product categories to identify trends and contribute valuable insights across different projects.
- Supporting the implementation of AI, digital tools, and continuous improvements to standardize and develop sensory operations.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, you are structured, detail-oriented, and enjoy combining practical laboratory work with analytical tasks. You work systematically, can handle multiple projects in parallel, and adapt easily to changing priorities.
You enjoy working with statistical analysis, questionnaire programming, and turning data into meaningful insights. You are also communicative and have a knack for building professional relationships with both internal stakeholders and more than 50 panelists.
You are motivated by driving projects from start to finish and have an interest in continuous improvement. You have an eye for detail and enjoy identifying opportunities to standardize processes and develop new ways of working together with colleagues in Sweden and globally.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A bachelor's degree in sensory science, food science, statistics, market research, or another relevant field.
- Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Practical Information
- Long-term full-time assignment as a consultant via Adecco, placed at BAT in Malmö.
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:30–17:30 during periods when panels are active, and 09:00–17:00 on other days.
- The role is primarily based at the office in Malmö, with some possibility of remote work depending on business needs.
