We are now looking for a Process Engineer who wants to help develop future production together with engaged colleagues locally and globally.

About the Role

As a Process Engineer, you work on developing and optimizing production processes, technology, and facilities. The role combines analysis, problem-solving, and project work with close collaboration with production, maintenance, quality, and other support functions.

You drive and participate in development projects within technology and production, from idea and analysis to implementation and follow-up. The work includes both improvements to existing processes and the preparation of documentation for investment and major maintenance projects.

Together with the operations, you work to create safe, stable, and efficient processes with a focus on quality, food safety, working environment, and sustainable resource use.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze, optimize, and develop production processes and facility technology
• Plan, execute, and document development projects
• Prepare technical documentation for investment and maintenance projects
• Identify and drive improvement initiatives within production and technology
• Support operations in investigating deviations and following up on corrective and preventive actions
• Contribute to the creation and development of governing documents and working methods
• Collaborate with GELITA's international network and participate in global projects

About Our Operations

In Stidsvig, we manufacture gelatin, protein powder, and fat products through advanced processes including extraction, filtration, separation, evaporation, and drying.

The facility is highly automated and offers a technically stimulating environment where process development, energy efficiency, and improvement work are a natural part of everyday life.

Who Are You?

We are looking for you who have an engineering degree at the university level, or have built up equivalent competence through work experience.

You have experience from the process industry or other manufacturing operations where you have worked with process development, improvement work, or technical projects.

To succeed in the role, we believe you:

• can see both the big picture and the details in a process
• work systematically and drive your tasks forward
• have a strong focus on improvement and see opportunities where others see limitations
• enjoy collaborating and building good relationships within the organization

You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, and are comfortable working with digital tools and the Office environment.
