Medical Service provides support and service to the healthcare sector in Scania. Our services range from laboratory medicine and medical technology to assignments within prehospital care and research. We have approximately 2,100 employees in the administration.

Imaging and Laboratory Technology is a area within the specialist-independent business area of Laboratory Medicine Base. The Imaging and Laboratory Technology area consists of three units responsible for maintaining medical technical safety through preventive and corrective maintenance of medical technical equipment. We also provide technical competence to Region Skåne's activities within imaging and functional medicine as well as laboratory medicine. The activity is involved in investments and procurement and participates in research and development in the field.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

We now have the opportunity to welcome a biomedical engineer to Laboratory Technology in Malmö!

The work assignments mainly consist of participating in the procurement of medical technical equipment. The role also includes responsibility for handling service agreements, acting as an expert in the field, and providing support and advice to the activity in medical technical matters.

Your role also includes being the activity's contact person towards suppliers, participating in cross-professional project groups when introducing new instruments and technical solutions, and contributing with qualified technical support and advice in the field.

Other areas may also occur, such as being part of the administration group with the role of systems specialist. As a biomedical engineer within Laboratory Technology, you work daily in close contact with the laboratory activities. The needs within the different specialties change continuously, and the work assignments may change to best respond to our customers' requirements. There are opportunities to develop within the field.

The main place of work for the position is Malmö. Work in other locations in Scania may occur as we have a regional assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a university engineer or have similar education and/or experience that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Since travel in the service occurs, mainly to the different locations in Scania, a valid B driving license is a requirement. Additionally, it is a prerequisite for the position that you have experience and good knowledge of procurement in the public sector.

Knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU) is meritorious. We also see it as meritorious if you have knowledge and experience of troubleshooting medical technical equipment. Furthermore, we would like you to have good knowledge of computer hardware as well as general knowledge of networks and network connections. Having good experience participating in projects is seen as advantageous.
