Do you want to lead the work to enhance Swedish Energy Agency's AI capabilities and turn our most promising AI solutions into stable and secure systems that drive the Swedish energy transition forward?
Swedish Energy Agency is a key player in the energy transition. Our IT division at Swedish Energy Agency is growing to enable doubled electricity production and a fossil-free future. With new technology, we are increasing both infrastructure capacity and the pace of development in digitalization and processes. To accelerate development, we have established an innovation lab. Here, we build and test new solutions and translate AI into concrete value for the entire organization.
To our innovation lab, we are now looking for a Tech Lead who will lead the work on scaling up and industrializing AI solutions within the organization.
About the role
In this role, you collaborate with senior tech leads to transform prototypes into production-ready solutions and ensure they meet high technical and security requirements. Much of the work takes place at the forefront of technology with AI as a central component – both as a development tool and as part of the solution.
Examples of responsibilities
- Develop AI prototypes into finished products in a scalable way
- Set frameworks and instructions for AI agents with the aim of automating and streamlining the development process
- Conduct code and architecture reviews to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure that technical and security requirements are met
- Drive strategic and operational work to increase AI capabilities and spread AI usage within the IT organization

You are not expected to be an expert from the start, but will have the opportunity to develop your skills continuously through daily work as well as through courses, workshops, and conferences. You will also have the opportunity to develop within future energy technology with the central player in Sweden for the energy transition.
About you

As a person, you are structured and contribute to order and direction in complex contexts.
You must also adhere to the public sector values (https://www.statskontoret.se/forvaltningskultur/den-statliga-vardegrunden/). In this recruitment, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

- Very good programming skills (several years of professional experience as a developer)
- Several years of experience working as a technical lead/architect in development projects
- Several years of experience working in larger organizations with modern development practices
- In-depth, practical experience with agent-based AI for software development
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English
We consider it meritorious if you have:
- Experience with own AI projects or initiatives that have created concrete value
- Experience building, deploying, and maintaining AI solutions in environments with high security requirements
