WHO ARE WE?
Jobcenter works on behalf of the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen) with the service "Rusta och Matcha 2" (ROM2). "ROM2" is a program for those who have been job seekers for a while and are assessed by the Employment Service to need support in their job search. As a Career Consultant with us, you support and help job seekers move forward into employment or studies. ABOUT THE POSITION:
- Career Consultant on a part-time basis, initially 50%, located at our office in Värnamo. Good opportunities to increase the percentage of employment if working in nearby areas as well.
- Six-month probation period, with the possibility of a permanent contract. Start date as soon as possible according to agreement.
Monthly salary according to agreement.
As a Career Consultant at Jobcenter, you will help develop and build up the operations at your office. Part of the work involves working individually with participants, while the rest of the time you will focus on your existing network of employers, as well as developing and expanding this network to optimize the chances of matching your participants with the right employer. Collaborating with local and regional education providers is also part of your work, as education is an optional alternative for participants.
As a career consultant, you map out your participants' skills and goals, and together you create a joint plan for the future that you follow. You ensure that CVs and cover letters are of the highest quality, coach for interviews, and support participants with conversations and digital development when needed.
The duties also include administrative work in our internal systems and reporting to the Employment Service. You will also be responsible for planning and holding weekly activities, such as group activities with participants.

You are also a good administrator and are computer literate, as the position involves some digital administrative work for reporting and documentation. Handling email, internet, Microsoft Teams, Office suite, etc., is necessary.
Experience with systems such as Workbuster and the Employment Service's "My pages for independent actors" is meritorious.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
We are looking for you who have worked in the field of job matching/recruitment for at least 2 years and are now seeking new challenges.
Fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing.
The Swedish Public Employment Service approves competence for supervisors according to alternative 1 or alternative 2:
Alternative 1
University education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system).
AND
At least two (2) years of working life experience equivalent to full-time, regardless of industry. Part-time work can also be approved if the total working time corresponds to full-time over two (2) years.
Alternative 2
At least one (1) year of full-time studies at post-secondary level with at least a passing grade. Post-secondary education includes university education and various types of vocational training, such as qualified vocational training, university college education, military education, and police education.
AND
At least three (3) years of working life experience equivalent to full-time within one or more of the following professions or tasks:
- Work leadership with personnel responsibility.
- Recruitment.
- Transition work for job seekers.
- Study and career guidance.
- Processing of personnel matters (not just personnel administration).
- Work with working life and labor market issues.
- Work with social and group psychology.
- Career guidance.
Part-time work can also be approved if the total working time corresponds to full-time over three (3) years.
MERITORIOUS FOR THE POSITION:
- You speak one or more languages in addition to Swedish and English.
Salary type: Fixed monthly, weekly, or hourly wage
