Helsingborg District Court strives to be an open and developing workplace. Approximately 100 people work at the court. We are located in modern premises in central Helsingborg.
The court is divided into three judicial case divisions and one administrative division. Each case division is led by a Chief Magistrate and has approximately 25 employees in a team consisting of judges, case preparers, case handling managers, court clerks, and court notaries. The administrative division works, among other things, with economy and HR issues, security, registration of new cases and matters, and archiving. Helsingborg District Court is now looking for one or more court clerks.
About the role
The work as a court clerk is responsible, developing, and varied. As a court clerk, you play a central role in the court's daily work. Together with an engaged team of case handlers, judges, and notaries, you contribute to ensuring that cases and matters are handled in a legally secure and efficient manner. The work is varied, social, and requires both structure and flexibility, perfect for you who thrive in a dynamic environment.
At Helsingborg District Court, the court clerks work in the case divisions with both criminal cases, civil cases, and court matters.
Main tasks
As a court clerk, you will:
- prepare and handle cases prior to hearing
- register and review documents
- monitor deadlines
- plan and call for hearings
- appoint public defenders
- decide on personal investigations and obtain information from social welfare boards
- have contact with parties, representatives, and authorities
- take notes and minutes during hearings
- draft proposals for judgments and decisions
- dispatch judgments and decisions
We are looking for you who
- have completed and approved upper secondary education with final grades/diploma
- have very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- have good experience working with computers and digital methods.
It can be meritorious if you have:
- experience of work within case handling/preparation. It is particularly valuable if this experience is from work within the court or any of the authorities we come into contact with daily in our work, such as the Public Prosecution Service, the Police Authority, and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
- post-secondary education that the employer deems relevant
- additional language skills in addition to Swedish.
We would like you to have an interest in societal issues and especially in the court's important role in society.
You will work in a team together with other court clerks and in close cooperation with judges, case preparers, and notaries in the division. Therefore, it is important that you have good teamwork skills.
To thrive in the role, you need to be able to handle varied tasks, people, and situations in a professional and trustworthy manner. You are service-oriented and understand that everyone who comes into contact with the court should be treated respectfully and with high quality. You also have the ability to analyze and solve problems.
During periods of high workload, it is particularly important that you can structure, prioritize, and plan your work in an efficient manner. You are secure and stable even when the pace is high or when conditions change, and you can maintain focus on the task. We value that you are responsible, meticulous, self-initiating, and have good judgment. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.

Practical information
The employment is a permanent position that may begin with a six-month probationary period.
