The Ystad Rehabilitation Clinic supports all inpatient wards at Ystad Hospital. The scope of responsibility also includes specialized outpatient rehabilitation and specialized day rehabilitation at the hospital. The unit consists of approximately 40 staff members with various professions, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, counselors, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, assistant nurses, and registered nurses. Teamwork is the foundation of everything we do, regardless of which ward we work on.

Job Responsibilities

We look forward to welcoming you as a physiotherapist to our team on the cardiac ward and cardiac clinic. Here, you will meet patients with various heart conditions, such as myocardial infarction, heart failure, and arrhythmias.

Work on the ward includes assessing physical capacity, providing information on physical activity and exercise, and preparing patients for and following up after surgery. Respiratory care, complex mobilization, transfer assessments, and other physiotherapeutic interventions are also part of the role. You will work as part of the ward team alongside another physiotherapist and other ward staff.

At the clinic, you will share responsibility with a colleague for assessing physical capacity according to SEPHIA standards, as well as for training and evaluation. You will also be part of the cardiac team together with nurses, counselors, and dietitians.

Your primary workplace is within the rehabilitation unit's staff group, where you will collaborate with colleagues on joint planning and development.

Working hours are during daytime, Monday to Friday, with some weekend shifts included. As a small hospital, we expect physiotherapists to have some cross-disciplinary competence, so you will also receive introductions to other wards. The role includes supervising physiotherapy students. Your employment begins with a personalized onboarding process and a plan for continued competence development.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist eligible to work in Swedish healthcare. You must have Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 on the Council of Europe's scale. Basic computer skills and experience with the Melior electronic health record system are preferred.

The position requires a professional approach, strong prioritization and organizational skills, and the ability to make quick decisions.
