Who are we looking for? We are seeking a passionate chef who thrives in a team environment where service and collaboration are at the core. With curiosity and enthusiasm, you will create delicious, well-crafted dishes with a strong focus on sustainability.

The role includes daily self-control tasks, thorough knowledge of allergens, and the ability to clearly explain all ingredients. You will also handle ordering and receiving goods, waste management, and assist with inventory and supply orders.

About the Kitchen at Väsbyskolan

You will work in a team of approximately five people, responsible for preparing two main dishes daily for around 800 guests – from preschool to grade nine, as well as teachers and staff. You will follow a set menu with cost-calculated recipes but must be able to adapt them based on the target group and guest feedback.

You report to the Head Chef of Upplands Väsby Municipality and the Municipal Unit Manager.

Who are you?

• You are over 18 years old
• You have education in hospitality and tourism with a focus on culinary arts or equivalent
• You have prior experience from the restaurant industry
• You possess strong planning and organizational skills
• You take pride in delivering high service and quality standards through your passion
• You are positive, resilient under pressure, and thrive in collaborative environments. Guest satisfaction is your priority
• You are proactive, flexible, and comfortable taking initiative
• You speak and write Swedish fluently
• Experience with menu planning systems is a plus
• Experience working in a school kitchen is a plus
