At the Swedish Medical Products Agency (Läkemedelsverket), we make a difference together. In life and for life. We work for the health of humans and animals, for a better Sweden today and in the future.
Are you a pharmacist with experience from pharmacies and an interest in medicines that are not approved in Sweden? We in the Licensing Group are looking for a new colleague!
Our Operations
The Business Area Permits has nearly 400 employees and consists of several units, including the Unit for Clinical Trials and Licenses. We are 46 employees divided into three groups whose main task is to make decisions on permits for clinical medicinal trials and license applications for medicines not approved in Sweden. The Licensing Group consists of 11 employees, and we are now looking for a new colleague for a one-year period.
Your Responsibilities
The work consists of both routine tasks such as registering manual cases, handling mail, and more complex tasks such as processing and making decisions on license applications. Your responsibilities include receiving license applications, compiling and assessing the documentation, and then making decisions on the cases. You will also answer questions via phone and in writing. The work is independent but takes place in close collaboration with pharmaceutical, preclinical, and clinical expertise in a cross-disciplinary environment. The work is characterized by a very high daily flow of cases and many contacts with pharmacies, doctors, pharmaceutical companies, and the general public.
Your Background
We are looking for you who are educated as a dispensing pharmacist (receptarie) or a pharmacist (apotekare). You should have worked for a few years in a pharmacy with pharmaceutical tasks and licenses. You have a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and to assimilate information in Swedish and English. You have very good computer skills. It is an advantage if you have worked as a case handler at a government agency.
Your Personal Qualities
We are looking for you who have a quick learning ability, are meticulous, and can work according to governing documents, but who can also take own initiatives. You work independently while having an easy time collaborating and creating good relationships. You are responsible, initiate and complete your commitments, and are accustomed to and enjoy handling many cases simultaneously with short deadlines. Furthermore, you need to be able to focus on details but also see the big picture. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
